SALE! CHEAP CHEAP!
I’ve always been a fan of Italian food – pizza, pasta, cream soups and assorted cheese and salads – you can never go wrong with Italian. And most of these dishes are remarkably easy to prepare.
Today I’m going to teach you (actually not much teaching’s involved cos it’s so simple. Idiot-proof, really. So I’m actually merely sharing. Or informing.) how to prepare the easiest, quickest and yummiest dish ever – Mushroom Aglio Olio!
This is a picture of my final result. Drool-worthy, yes? Look at the spices. Nomnomnomsies.
Ingredients (for single serving)
3 Cloves of Garlic
40 grams of pasta
2 Jumbo White Button Mushrooms
Virgin Olive Oil
2 Chilli Padis
A tiny bit of Parsley
Steps
First, boil the pasta in salt water till completely cooked. You can easily ascertain the extent to which it has been cooked by picking out a single strand and cutting it in half. If there is a white dot in the middle, it means that the pasta has not been fully cooked yet. Continue boiling till the white dot fully disappears.
White waiting for the pasta to boil, peel the garlic cloves and chop them into tiny little pieces. The tinier, the better! The flavour diffuses better this way. Chop the jumbo white mushrooms into slices too.
Also, chop the chilli padis up into thin slices. Do take caution: do not allow the chilli padi seeds to come into direct contact with your skin cos IT WILL BURN LIKE A MOTHER BITCH. I’ve experienced them chilli burns before – not fun at all. I assure you. So wear some gloves or be extremely careful!
Pour approximately ¼ of a cup of Olive Oil into frying pan. Let it heat for about 15 seconds. Put the chopped garlic in and stir fry for about 10 seconds or till slightly golden brown. It’s very important not to overcook the garlic cos burnt garlic tastes nasty!
Next, add the mushroom slices. Stir fry till brown (shouldn’t take more than 30 seconds). Add in chilli slices right after and continue stir frying for another 15 seconds.
Ensure that your pasta has been fully cooked. Drain it and add pasta into pan and fry together with the oil, mushrooms, garlic and chilli. Add in a small pinch of butter for added flavour and smoothness. Let it fry and simmer for a good 30 – 60 seconds, and add a dash of salt and pepper.
And you’re done!
Pour everything onto a nice shiny glass bowl and you’re set to serve. Oh, and remember to garnish it with Parsley for aesthetics!
Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy~
Now go try it!

It really is quite relaxing to enjoy drinks along with ear-numbingly kick-ass music and the liveliness of fun company. Also, it’s good entertainment to watch how others behave in clubs. There are mainly 4 categories of party-goers:
1) The Socialisers
These people often book tables and sit around drinking and dancing around said table all night. I actually like doing this a lot cos I’m lazy and standing on heels all night is a sure-fire way to kill your feet. These people go to clubs to hang out and socialize with other like-minded people. Kinda like networking.
2) The Enthusiastics
The Enthusiastics, as the name suggests, are really energetic and enthusiastic people who don’t necessarily party often, but when they do, they come in a big bunch and have the energy to dance vigorously all night. These people aren’t necessarily big spenders and more often than not, you’d see them drinking home-brought alcohol along the back bridge near Zouk.
3) The See ‘n’ be Seen
These people go to clubs to check people out and to, likewise, get checked out. Which kinda IS the prevailing conception most people have about clubbing.. But it doesn’t necessarily apply to everyone.
4) The Skanks ‘n’ Hoes
I would think this is pretty self-explanatory – i.e. people who go to parties with the sole intention of hooking up a hot piece of ass for the night.
I also really don’t get people who party without drinking. The main purpose of stepping into a club is to merry-make, so if you’re not gonna get a little bit liquored up then what’s the point? Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is better with an injection of yummy cocktails.
Peektures!
Like my bustier top? It's gonna be in Kisslocke's next collection! So colourful. ❤❤❤

I know my face looks awfully fair/white/washed out in these pictures in comparison to the rest of my body. I recently went to the beach and became tanner so now my BB cream is far too fair for my skin! WHAT DO DO!!??!! I can't seem to find any darker shades of BB creamz~
Life sure is tough. God. The perils of the sun. IT FRIES US ALL!
Oh and I’m stuck at home now with swollen tonsils the size of Antartica and a persistent woozy feeling thanks to a slight fever. All my plans for the week = CANCELLED! Thank you, immunity system, for NOT DOING YOUR JOB!

Well, till I decide to take my masters, at least. But for now, I’m a degree holder yo. A force to be reckoned with in the corporate world. BE WARY!!!
The last day of school was.. Well, I guess a lot of people would describe it as bittersweet, but I was completely nonchalant. No, I am not heartless. I just haven’t exactly been crazy close to my course mates in the whole sing-graduation-songs and cry-hearts-out way. Sure, I’ve met some great individuals and I’ve had the chance to work with the sweetest bunch of people ever, but this is Singapore, man. It’s not as though any of us is going to up and go to another country or something. We’ll still see each other around!
So, picas!!!
Rossie and I with Arman and Jo photobombing us. Jo's face is pricesless.
